When we posted our zeroed Bulb Magazine, somehow we were
worried that our readers, opposite to submitting photographs,
will not send us Projects so fast. At least until magazine becomes
more popular, or when we post few more issues. To our big
surprise and joy, first thing that arrived to our e-mail address
was one interesting project. Black/white photographs made
by Marie Astrid Gonzales that tells us behind the scene story
about one famous LA burlesque dancers club.

Along with that, we bring You an interesting interview with
Turkish photographer Erdal Kinaci who photographed
Turkish whore-houses and captured one whole different
world and reality on his shots. He won the first place for
Turkish issue of National Geography contest in categories
” Nature ” and ” People ”, and with those photos he compete
in international National Geography contest, where he won
as one of four first prices in category ” People ”.

We were especially happy when we heard that Marina Filipovic,
known in cyber space by her nickname Marinshe and her
photography ” Porcelain Doll” (or ” Butterfly Girl” ) won the
first place on worldwide contest for photo amateurs of
prestigious French magazine “ Photo ”. News like that
deserves the place in our magazine, so we decided to
give Marinshe and her photo deserved attention.

New Year brings us new plans, so our little redaction
expanded a little. Sandra Vitaljic joined Bulb team
with her fresh suggestions that opens some new
dimensions for our magazine. Taste and way she
thinks showed to be similar with ours, so to mutual
satisfaction we started to work on some new ideas
and realizations.  

Trying to make Bulb Magazine even more interesting
and various, we started column written by Mare Milin.
She is writing amazing lines about her personal experience
that make us think even more about important things
related to photography. After first column we received,
we can be sure only one thing – Mare does not only take
great photos, but she is also a great writer. We are
waiting for her next column impatiently.   

To our satisfaction, luck did not leave us neither with
Gallery 24, so in this issue we present 24 great photographs
from all over the world. Our journey continues, so join us.

Kad smo objavili nulti broj Bulb magazina, nekako smo se pribojavali
da nam čitatelji, za razliku od fotografija, sigurno neće tako brzo slati
projekte, barem ne dok se naše ime malo ne raširi i ne izdamo
nekoliko brojeva. No, na naše veliko iznenađenje i radost, prvo
što nam je došlo bio je jedan vrlo zanimljiv projekt. Crno-bijele
fotografije Marije Astrid Gonzalez, intimnu priču iza scene poznatih
L.A. klubova ženskih plesačica burleske.

Usto, donosimo vam interesantan intervju s turskim fotografom
Erdralom Kinacijem, koji je fotografirao turske bordele donoseći
nam jedan sasvim drugi svijet i stvarnost.
2006. godine osvojio je prvu nagradu u kategorijama ” priroda” i
”ljudi” na natječaju National Geographica u Turskoj. Kasnije je
tim fotografijama konkurirao na Internacionalnom NG natječaju,
gdje je osvojio jednu od četiri prve nagrade u kategoriji ”ljudi”.

Posebno nas je razveselila Marina Filipović, u internetskom svijetu
poznata pod nadimkom Marinshe.
Njezina je fotografija " Porcelain Doll ", iliti " Butterfly Girl ", osvojila
prvo mjesto na svjetskom natječaju fotoamatera prestižnog francuskog
časopisa " Photo ".Takva je vijest zaslužila da poremetimo broj i
posvetimo malo prostora njoj i njezinom izvanrednom uspjehu.

Nova je godina donijela i nove planove, pa se redakcija proširila.
Bulb timu pridružila se Sandra Vitaljić sa svježim prijedlozima
koji nam otvaraju neke druge dimenzije i vrata. Ukusi i smjerovi
pokazali su se vrlo bliskima, pa na obostrano zadovoljstvo radimo
na nekim novim idejama i realizacijama.

U cilju da Bulb magazine postane još zanimljiviji i raznolikiji,
otvorili smo kolumnu Mare Milin s izvrsnim tekstovima o osobnim
iskustvima koja nas navode da razmišljamo o važnim stvarima
vezanima za fotografiju. Nakon prvog dobivenog teksta jedno je
sigurno – Mare ne samo da vrlo kvalitetno fotografira nego i
vrlo zanimljivo piše. S nestrpljenjem čekamo materijal za
sljedeći broj.

Na naše zadovoljstvo, sreća nas nije napustila ni s galerijom 24,
pa vam u ovom broju po običaju predstavljamo odličnih
24 fotografija iz cijelog svijeta. Naše se putovanje nastavlja, pridružite nam se.
